The challenge
The Naval History and Heritage Command started an Adobe CQ build for its existing website, which housed an enormous archive of the Navy’s history. It needed someone who could build on CQ and lead the project at the same time.
What we did
As technical lead and the project’s Adobe CQ expert, Joe handled most of the CQ front- and back-end development, building and modifying JSP and Java components alongside the front-end HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
He was also the bridge between the onsite and remote teams and the main point of contact for the client, coordinating system administrators, security, QA and additional developers.
Process
We ran the existing site through user acceptance testing and set up an Agile Scrum process with regular sprints to work through the defects and feature requests it surfaced, and gave the Deputy Director and department heads a clear plan for the site’s future, including a responsive, mobile-first approach.
